Daddy

I never thought
I would see the day
When I walked into the room
And saw you looking so far away

I knew right then
My life would never be the same
As I saw him lying there
With a heart empty of shame

I had mixed feelings
I didn't know which was right
I felt sad because he was gone
I was happy he no longer had to fight

He was so strong
He always put up a fight
When things were at the worst
He knew everything would be alright

But then his time came
He could fight no more
And then he saw the light
And walked through the door

I now know he is where
He was meant to be
But he is always in our hearts
And I will always love my Daddy

The Feeling

I have a feeling
Deep inside of me
I know exactly what it is
That no one else can see

The feeling I have
Is stronger on the inside
This is a feeling
I no longer want to hide

I wish my feeling
Would go two ways
So together we can spend
The rest of our days

I wish I could tell you
The feeling that is mine
But rejection is what I fear
I fear it all the time

One day I want the courage
So I can share the feeling with you
And hopefully you will say
The you have the feeling too

For the feeling that I feel
Is a blessing from above
The feeling that I have
Is the feeling of love.

Best Friend

I love the way you make me feel
You can always put a smile on my face
You make me laugh all the time
When I'm hurt, you help me heal.

You light me all up inside
It is just so hard to describe
With you I am never sad
With you I have nothing to hide.

I can never keep on a frown
When I am with you
You make me feel so good
I can never keep feeling down.

You are the best friend
Everyone wishes for
And I know you'll stay that way
And there will be no end.
